Why merley looking at financial ratios is no guarantee for a deals success

Regardless of whether it is an M&A or divestiture process or whether a general review of the company and its technical capabilities is imminent: Due diligence is an essential factor for success.

As part of a strategic due diligence process, CORE supports both the buy and sell side in evaluating their targets/ purchasers. For private equity firms, too, it is crucial to scrutinise the target before investing. Whereas “classical” due diligence used to focus almost exclusively on financial rationales, it now analyses all areas of the company - from organisation, strategy and human resources to IT and marketing. Technical due diligence plays a particularly important role, as technology can be used to support major synergy goals.

We support our clients with many years of experience and established due diligence frameworks in achieving their (synergy) goals when buying and selling companies. In doing so, they benefit from in-depth industry and IT expertise to support their investment decisions in a qualified manner.
