Market situation in Product Innovation and Strategy

The speed and diversity of change is increasing rapidly. A constantly changing environment requires that changes be anticipated in the best possible way, that needs for action and opportunities be recognised and realised without delay. Companies that do not continuously monitor the process of change lose market share to competitors and fail to usethe potentials to expand their own competitive position.
We, therefore, support our clients - both large companies from the financial industry and up-and-coming start-ups - in developing promising product strategies. We interpret the process of strategy development as a joint effort in which our expertise on the latest technological developments and current trends in the market environment is combined with the specific product know-how of our clients.
The result of this cooperation often leads to competitively differentiating product innovations. Our aim is always to develop strategies that can be implemented and lead to visible results at an early stage. Always with the motivation to be at least one step ahead of the competition.

The clock is ticking: It's time for digital transformation

In the environment of the exponentially increasing, cross-industry level of digitalisation, the sub-sector of strong identification and authentication of private and legal persons is increasingly being transferred into the digital world. The market significance of technological progress is underpinned by the regulatory and catalytic influence of the European Parliament and Council in the form of the eIDAS (electronic identification, authentication and trust services) Regulation (EU) No. 910/2014.

Due to technological alternatives, the window of opportunity for active market participation and profitable provision of retained identity information is closing, for example on the part of the financial and insurance sectors. New segments of significant market relevance based on strong identification/authentication are emerging, such as e-health and smart cities. Within existing industries of sensitive customer identities (e.g. banking, insurance), the opportunity arises to fully digitise processes of regulated identity verification along applicable compliance and security requirements. Current strategic directions of the public and private sector should be recalibrated to avoid potential displacement from the exponentially growing and highly profitable identity market. Here, CORE recommends using our expertise to proactively define collaborative cooperation models with global technology providers at an early stage or to shift business models towards overarching value-added services.

Replacing manual processes with Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

The use of RPA solutions enables the rapid automation of (business) processes which, for example, still often run highly manually in administration in companies. The advantages of RPA are the fast execution of repetitive tasks. This technology helps in assigning tasks such as sending emails, digitising paper, processing customer orders, purchase orders and payment transactions. Thus, there is a lot of interest in the financial and healthcare industries due to the associated low implementation cost. Exponential technological development is one of the biggest drivers of digitalisation and transformation, and RPA can provide this entry point for companies by speeding up processes and increasing efficiency.
